Any crystal possesses its own unique vibration (magnetic field) which can be affected by the energies in its environment (explanation here). It is, therefore, always important to fully cleanse, activate, charge and dedicate any crystal before you start to use or wear it. Regular process of maintaining the crystal is important to ensure their subtle vibrations and healing properties and to help you become attuned with them.
(1) cleansing crystals: there are many ways of cleansing crystals, for example the use of flowing clean water over a crystal, salt bath (we do not recommend as may destroy surface of crystal), smudge sticks and intention/crystal energy work. I typically like to use smudge sticks makes of herbs and have it diffused over the crystals.
(2) Activating crystals: this requires a little bit of practice with your mind/intention, however if you find this is too difficult to concentration it is okay to speak out loud to the crystal. “I hereby ask upon you to unleash and awake to be at your full potential for the highest good and love of all” and follow by a sound (positive vibration) usually bells and singing bowls.
(3) charging crystals: usually done using the elements from the nature, subtle morning rays of the sun, beautiful charging full moon, gracious waterfall, sea side, another larger crystals (clusters), any you could think, possess elemental energy to charge your crystals . It is easier for me to have them lay in the garden and the over morning sun for a few hours, and sometimes, I would have leave them overnight in the garden during full moon.
(4) dedicating crystals: this also requires a little bit of practice with your mind/intention, however if you find this is too difficult to concentration it is okay to speak out loud to the crystal. “I hereby ask upon you to —objective— for highest good for —recipient name— and love of all”. Example while working with a rose quartz: “I hereby ask upon you to assists in the awareness of self love and to stop all habits and or disruptive lifestyle and patterns for Kevin Gan and love of all. (Its is okay to use the name if you are dedicating for yourself or dedication for another person for this process). You could also use some sacred geometry to assist you in the dedicating process, this increases your focus for a better result. I keep this simple I just transform my palms and fingers into a 2D pyramid and the focus/energy is plain amazing. I will write a post on how to identify the functions of any type of minerals and crystals using sight, touch, feel and insight, however you could also google them, there are quite a number of references for this case.
There could be much more methods and choices for these process. Meanwhile, thank you and Namaste! Please visit our OnlineStore! ❤
Sometimes, when we’re overworked, malnourished, sleep deprived, and excessive interactions with the public or individuals involved in “negativity” may result in tainting your aura-tic field (energy field of a person which extends out of the physical body) and may manifest into physical attributes like migraines, heartburn and/or other discomforts, and may attract even further negativity.
If your aura needs to be cleansed you may feel:
A “heavy” feeling over or around you
When I say “negativity” I’m referring to heavy emotions from others, daily stresses, thought forms, cords, and other types of energetic phenomena that drain our vital energy.
Below I’ve listed 7 ways that I find very effective in clearing the aura of negative energy:
A proper routine shower is best of all to start with…
A proper routine rest is best of all to start with…
Below are more intense methods:-
Black Tourmaline is one of my favorite stones to use; it protects the aura by shielding it from unwanted energy throughout the day. Some other crystals that are great for cleansing the aura are selenite, kyanite, smokey quartz, auralite23, amber, laser wands energy alternating (require training). If you are looking for any crystal please let us know, or you may browse through our online store.
Sage or “Smudging”
The smoke from burning sage has been used for many years to cleanse the aura or the environment of unwanted energies. It has a powerful cleansing effect and after using it on my aura or around my home I always feel relaxed and renewed. We currently have different herbs and smudge sticks option and also the California white sage which can be purchase at our online store.
My favorite essential oils for cleansing the aura are Palo Santo and Lemon. You can add a few drops of these oils to a carrier oil and apply it directly to the skin or add it to a nebulizer/diffuser to cleanse both your aura and home/office space. These essential oils specifically are great for purifying, grounding, and uplifting the energy. Some other cleansing essential oil includes Juniper, Cedarwood, Citruses.
Sea Salt Baths
Salt has been known to have a cleansing and balancing effect on the body for ages. If you’re not close to an ocean, bathing in an Epsom salt or Dead Sea salt bath can be tremendously relieving and cleansing after a stressful day. Sea salt baths can also help skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema and soothe sore and achy muscles. Swimming or bathing in salt water cleanses, refreshes, and reenergizes the energy body.
Getting into the elements is perhaps the most powerful way to cleanse the energy body. Although just being outside is beneficial, fully immersing yourself in nature is the best way to cleanse and ground yourself. Gardening, walking in the woods, and sitting by a body of water or a bonfire are all powerful ways you can get close to nature and rid the aura of negative energy.
The act of smudging is done with a smudge bowl with appropriate herbs directly lit. Smudging is also done with herbs tied in bundles called Smudge Sticks. In either case the smoke is ‘washed’ over the person or object with a Feather or by fanning the smoke with one’s hand.
To do a blessing of a person, begin by looking into the eyes of the person for a moment to ‘greet’ them, fan the smoke first at their heart and then up to the right side (your left) of the person’s head, moving around clockwise (sun-wise), gently washing them with the smoke. Continue brushing smoke down over their left shoulder and the length of their arm and back up again to the shoulder. Wash the smoke down the left side of the torso, left leg and foot. Now smudge the right foot, up the left leg, torso and down the length of the right arm and back up to the shoulder. Now turn the person around, turning to their right (sun-wise again) and repeat these movements as you smudge and bless the person’s back. For objects, bless them moving sun-wise around them also.

Smudging and Blessing Herbs
The use of sage is for healing. The smoke is used to bless, cleanse and heal the person or object being smudged. Sage is used to ‘wash off’ the outside world when one enters ceremony or other sacred space. Objects are likewise washed off with sage medicine smoke to rid them of unwanted influences. The plants that are called sage can come from very different families of plants. True sages are in the genus of Salvia; this includes Salvia Officinalis (garden sage) and Salvia Apiana (White Sage), also called California White Sage and Sacred Sage. Many of the herbs called sage come from a completely different family of plants, the Asteracea family. This family brings us the genus of Artemisia from which come New Mexico Sage (Artemisia tridentada), and the sage from the Dakotas (Artemisia ludoviciana), also called Grey sage, Prairie sage, Dakota sage, Lakota Sage and mistakenly sometimes called White sage. All of these sages (Salvia and Artemisia) are used for healing and cleansing. More can be learned from the book Sacred Sage, How It Heals.
Cedar is a medicine of protection. Cedar trees are very old, wise and powerful spirits. Cedar is often used to cleanse a home or apartment when first moving in, inviting unwanted spirits to leave and protecting a person, place or object from unwanted influences. Cedar is used as a name for a number of different genuses of trees and shrubs. The primary ones are Cedrus, Thuja, Libdocedrus and Juniperus. The Junipers are not truly Cedars (scientifically) but are used as such by many people. Keep in mind that these scientific names have little meaning to the people using them as medicine in traditional ways.
Also called Seneca grass, holy grass and vanilla grass. This very special herb’s sweet vanilla-like scent is the breath of the Earth mother, bringing the blessing of Mother Earth’s love. Sweetgrass is burned to remind us of essence of the feminine and that the earth provides us with everything we need. Sweetgrass can also be be unbraided or trimmed with a scissors into small pieces and sprinkled on hot Charcoal Tablets. Allow the sacred smoke that follows to wash over the subject of the blessing. The sacredness of the sweetgrass herb then sustains the smudging process. Use a smudging feather if you need to douse the flame or promote more smoke.
This native of Europe is often used for invitation of the spirits. The name may be derived from the Latin lavare (to wash) or livendula (meaning bluish). In ancient times lavender was an important herb used in mummification. There is a legend that the clothing of baby Jesus was laid upon a lavender bush and acquired the fragrance. Some Christians still regard the scent of lavender as a safeguard against evil. Burning Lavender is best done on Charcoal Tablets.
It is traditional to use a bird’s feather to brush the smoke over the person or object being blessed. It is important to use the underside of the feather to wash the smoke over the object of blessing. It is the underside of the bird and its wings that face the Mother Earth as it flies and it is surface of the feather that offers the blessing medicine of the bird.

Smudging is a ritual way to cleanse a person, place or an object of negative energies, spirits or influences. The smudging ceremony involves the burning of special, sacred plants and herbal resins. Then, either passing an object through the resulting smoke, or fanning the smoke around a person or place. The spirit of the plant then purifies whatever is being smudged.
***Please note ~ Do not leave animals or humans in a smokey home as it could cause breathing problems. Do not leave burning smudge unattended.***
